About the Course
Now that our own toilet training experences are solidly in the parenting windshield, we thought it would be a good time to check back in with what research on toilet training has taught us in the intervening years. And, wouldn’t you know it, special guest, Dr. Maeve Donnelly took all that info and put it into a handy-dandy article. In this episode we look at extensions in toilet training methodology over the past five years as well as some updated recommendations for what to do when your programming goes into the…well, you get the idea. Meet Your Instructors, Rob, Diana, & Jackie
Robert Parry-Cruwys, MSEd, BCBA, LABA is a clinical behavior analyst working in the public school system. Diana Parry-Cruwys, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA is an associate professor of behavior analysis at Regis College. Jackie MacDonald, PhD, BCBA-D, LABA is an associate professor of behavior analysis and assistant dean of health sciences at Regis College.
Meet Your Podcast Guests
Dr. Maeve Donnelly is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral and holds licensure as both an Applied Behavior Analyst (MA) and Special Education Administrator (MA - all levels). She maintains the qualifications to serve as a BACB® Supervisor. Dr. Donnelly has 20 years of clinical and applied research experience with children and young adults diagnosed with developmental disabilities, including assessment and treatment of severe problem behavior. She has supervised and worked within multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive services for her students and clients across public and private educational settings as well as in homes and local communities. Dr. Donnelly is a core faculty member and the Director of Supervision in the Applied Behavior Analysis programs at Northeastern University. Her research interests include practitioner-related topics such as evaluating behavioral technology for teaching self-care skills; assessing variables that affect application of evidence-based technology in practice; and training of parents, staff, and graduate students to implement assessment, intervention, and educational protocols. Dr. Donnelly has served as a guest reviewer for the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, and Routledge. She has also provided volunteer service for the Association for Behavior Analysis International, BABAT, and the Massachusetts Association for Applied Behavior Analysis. Currently, she serves on the BABAT Board of Directors.
